
Weyman was a net control station on the MMSN since July 2001. He
was active as a relay station and a regular check-in before that.
Weyman did several slots on the net and then, due to his illness, he
became a dedicated relief operator. Weyman could always be counted
on to cover a last minute vacancy.

SALTER JR., WEYMAN L.
A retired engineer for Kansas City Southern
Railroad with 33 years of service and a resident of Erwinville, he died
at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional
Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 53 and a native of Baton Rouge.
He
was an active member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary at the Naval Air
Station in Belle Chasse.
Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham
Springs, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Visitation in the funeral home
chapel from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted
by Brother Val Taylor. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham
Springs.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Rebelle Salter of Erwinville;
wife, Rita Salter of Denham Springs; two daughters and a son-in-law,
Kattie and Kevin Carter and Tabatha Taylor; stepdaughters, Candice Dias
and Nicole Barbour; son, Joshua Salter; two sisters, Robin Salter and
Wanda Hemba; two brothers, Jamie Salter and Stephen Salter; and
grandchildren, Kevin Chance, Chloe Ashlyn, Cole James, Kobi Renee,
Alyssa Michelle, Bella Elizabeth and Donovan Brodrick. Preceded in death
by his father, Weyman L. Salter Sr. He attended Life Church of Walker.
